Concrete Median Barrier Repair: I-95 North and Southbound in Fairfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a nighttime concrete repair project will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in Fairfield starting the evening of Wednesday, February 14 through the morning of Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The project consists of concrete median barrier repair on Interstate 95 between Exits 19 (Center St.) and Exits 22 (Round Hill Rd.) northbound and between Exits 22 (N. Benson Rd.) and Exits 20 (Bronson Rd.) southbound.

The work is included in CTDOT’s 2024 bridge maintenance program to support State Forces with bridge repairs. It is being performed by Mohawk Northeast Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane closures to occur on Interstate 95 north and southbound in Fairfield between Exits 19 (Center St.) and Exits 22 (Round Hill Rd.) northbound and between Exits 22 (N. Benson Rd.) and Exits 20 (Bronson Rd.) southbound. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday-Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
