Bridge Maintenance Installation on I-95 Southbound in Branford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 southbound in Branford on bridges 00191, 00192, 00193, 00194, 00196, and 00198. The project consists of asphaltic joint Installation to Interstate 95 southbound in Branford. This project is scheduled to occur on the evening of June 26, 2024, through July 26, 2024.
The work is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 southbound in Branford between Exit 56 (East Industrial Road) and the Service Plaza after exit 54 (Cedar St). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday evenings through Friday mornings. There will be no lane closures on Independence Day (observed July 4, 2024) from 6:00 a.m. July 3 to 7:00 p.m. July 7,2024.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
