School Building Projects Advisory Council

Pursuant to Public Act 26-68 § 398, the School Building Projects Advisory Council (SBPAC) has been renamed the School Safety and Security Infrastructure Advisory Council and has moved from the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) to the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP).

 

The mission of the Connecticut School Building Projects Advisory Council, created under Connecticut General Statutes Section10-292q, is to provide recommendations and establish standards and guidelines for achievement on all major capital school construction, renovations, and alteration projects. The Council is dedicated to building and modernizing Connecticut schools in a responsible, cost-effective manner while achieving the highest standards of excellence in efficiently designed, safe, and environmentally sound facilities, with further reforms designed to provide accountability and protect taxpayer dollars.
