What's Next

The State Building Inspector, State Fire Marshal and the Codes and Standards Committee intend to adopt the 2022 State Building and Fire Safety Codes based on the 2021 editions of the International Code Council (ICC) documents. 

Technical review of these codes has been conducted by the Committee’s Code Adoption Subcommittee (CAS) along with DAS staff and, on January 26th, 2022, the Codes and Standards Committee approved the drafts to go to public comment. Details of the public comment period, including a public hearing, can be found on the overview portion of this page.

A listing of CAS meetings and covered subjects is published below.
