Steps to Check Your Mandatory Rights

  1. Go to the State of Connecticut Online Employment Center (JobAps).
  2. Select My Applications (located in the gray box at the top of the page).
  3. Enter your JobAps User ID and Password, then select Retrieve Application.
  4. Your personal status board will open.
  5. Scroll down to the section titled Submitted and Unfinished Applications.
  6. In the Job Title/Bulletin Number column (first column), locate any job number that begins with MAND (Mandatory Rights).
  7. The naming convention is: MAND–job class code–F.
  8. In the Status/Disposition column (fourth column), select View Approved Rights to see the specific rights you have for that job class title.

If your rights have been deniedexpired, or made inactive, the Status/Disposition column will display Inactivate Freenames.
