Priority List Grant Process – Step 13: Final Payment / Refund Due

After the audit report has been issued, the Office of Grants Administration (OGA) will perform a final grant calculation.

Possible Outcomes

  1. Final Payment Released: If the final grant calculation results in additional grant funds owed to the district, OGA will:
    • Process the release of the final payment
    • Issue payment in accordance with state procedures
  2. Refund Due to the State: If the final grant calculation reveals that the project was overpaid, OGA will issue:
    • A formal notice of refund due
    • Instructions for remitting payment back to the State
    • Timely repayment is required to remain in compliance with grant statutes and state financial procedures.
