Yesterday, the 6th Annual Digital Government Summit returned in-person at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz; DAS Commissioner Michelle Gilman; and Connecticut’s Chief Information Officer, Mark Raymond joined technology leaders and other participants from across Connecticut’s state government to discuss our common challenges, learn about digital innovation, and collaborate on solutions to better serve our state’s residents together.

As you may have heard, Connecticut is taking a lead in digitizing government services for our residents. The yearly Digital Summit is a celebration of Connecticut's ongoing efforts to build an 'all-digital government', and the highly human-centric work is best progressed when we dream, plan, and progress together. Yesterday’s summit serves as a great reflection point on our previous lessons learned, as well as a launchpad for tomorrow’s successes.

DAS employees moderated or participated in learning sessions covering topics such as human-centered design, cloud technology, building the new workforce, how we achieve digital equity inclusion, and data privacy, and cybersecurity.

The in-person participation and thought leadership from the hundreds of municipal, state government, and private sector conference attendees will help keep moving our state moving forward, improving government services for all.
