Completing OEDM's Pre-Certification Training Program satisfies the coursework required under national certification standards for Fire Inspector I and Fire Investigator. If you completed your Connecticut certification this way, you may also be eligible to apply for the corresponding national-level certification — useful if you relocate or want recognition beyond Connecticut.
Note: passing the Challenge Examination establishes Connecticut state certification only. It does not by itself satisfy the coursework requirement for national certification.
