Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0142-0153, Replacement of Bridge No. 02245 Carrying Route 30 over Grants Brook in Tolland.

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

 

This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. This meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.

 

The purpose and need for this project is to address the exceeded design lifespan of the current bridge and with a new structure that will create a service life that is in accordance with CTDOT and FHWA design standards. Right-of-way impacts are anticipated as part of this project

 

Construction is expected to start spring 2030, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $3 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
