Welcome to the webpage for Project 68-220 Replacement of Bridge No. 05361 Carrying Wright Road over Quanduck Brook in Killingly.
An in-person public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.
The project involves the replacement of Bridge No. 05361 with one that meets all current design standards and improves the safety of the crossing for all roadway users.
Right-of-way impacts are anticipated on abutting properties involving temporary easements and partial property acquisitions.
Construction is expected to start spring 2029, depending on funding, right(s)-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $3.1 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
