Project 0058-0347 and 0058-0348

Welcome to the webpage for State Project Nos. 0058-0347 and 0058-0348, Rehabilitation of Bridge Nos. 07109 & 07110 carrying Route 349 in Groton.

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.

Originally constructed in 1964, the bridges will be rehabilitated to improve safety for the traveling public.

Right‑of‑way impacts will include a temporary construction easement at the inlet end of Bridge No. 07109 to provide site access and a work area. For Bridge No. 07110, impacts will include temporary construction easements at both the inlet and outlet ends of the structure to provide access road landing areas and work areas at the invert.

Construction is expected to begin spring 2030, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisitions, and permits. The estimated cost is $2 million for Bridge No. 07109 and $3 million for Bridge No. 07110, respectively, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
