Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0045-0090, Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 04934 Carrying Valley Road over Aspetuck River in Easton.
An in-person public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Easton Public Library, located at 691 Morehouse Road. The meeting location is ADA accessible. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.
The purpose of this project is to successfully rehabilitate the bridge by replacing aging infrastructure with new components that will ensure longevity and safety for all roadway users.
Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated on the abutting private properties.
Construction is expected to start in 2028, depending on funding and approval of permits. The estimated construction cost for this project is $2 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
