Welcome to the webpage for Project 42-332, Pedestrian Improvements at Ramp Termini in East Hartford.
An open house for the project was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the East Hartford Town Hall at 740 Main St. This open house is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to view project-related materials and discuss any questions with the project team.
The project involves improving pedestrian connections across freeway ramps.
Right-of-way impacts include minor acquisitions, temporary construction easements, a defined traffic easement for traffic signal equipment, and rights to grade and construct driveways.
Construction is expected to start spring 2028, depending on funding and right-of-way acquisition. The estimated cost is $3 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
