Welcome to the webpage for Project 0028-0210, Replacement of Bridge No. 00395 Carrying Prospect Hill Road over Route 2 in Colchester.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety for all roadway users, including increasing the vertical clearance over Route 2.
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed improvements include easements based upon the proposed slope limits.
Construction is expected to start spring 2028, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $10 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
