Welcome to the webpage for State Project 0017-0197, Computerized Traffic Signal System (CTSS) Replacement on Route 6 in Bristol.

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.

The project involves replacing the aging traffic signal infrastructure at intersections along the route with new traffic signal equipment and replacing the existing signal system.

Right-of-way impacts are anticipated to be minimal. New sidewalks may also be installed at some project intersections.

Construction is expected to start fall 2027, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $14 million, with 80% federal and 20% state funds.
