Welcome to the webpage for Installation of Centerline Rumble Strips on Route 10 (Main Street) in Farmington.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.
The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of roadway departure and head-on crashes on state roads by systemically installing centerline rumble strips (CLRS) as roads are resurfaced. The planned distance of the CLRS on Route 10 (Main Street) will be installed between Northampton Lane to SR 552 (Scott Swamp Road).
Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $7,000 with 100% state funds. Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated with this project.
