Welcome to the webpage for Proposed Project PP063-0015, Proposed Improvements at the Intersection of US 44 and Main Street/High Street/Ely Street in the City of Hartford.
This proposed project is one of the early action recommendations of the Greater Hartford Mobility Study. This project proposes to address vehicular & pedestrian safety concerns and improve traffic operations at the intersection of US 44 at Main St/High St/Ely St in the City of Hartford. The subject 5-legged intersection is poorly aligned resulting in reduced efficiency, poor traffic operations and excessively long pedestrian crossings. Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.
An in-person public informational meeting for the project was held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Community Room, Wilson-Gray YMCA, 444 Albany Ave, Hartford, CT 06120. This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions.

The proposed project is in the early stages of development. No funding has been identified and no schedule has been determined. This public information meeting is being held to discuss the existing conditions, discuss feasibility of proposed solutions, and receive public feedback.
