Welcome to the webpage for Project No. 0048-0202, Replacement of Bridges Nos. 01274 & 01275 Carrying Pleasant Road & Depot Hill Road over I-91 in Enfield
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
This meeting aims to inform the community about the proposed project, gather feedback, and answer any questions. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation.
This project will address the structural deficiencies for both bridges to create new service lives and improve safety for all roadway users.
The project will include full replacements of both bridges with new reinforced concrete abutments, wingwalls and piers founded on piles. New steel girders, reinforced concrete bridge decks, and bituminous overlays are proposed at both bridge sites and will include improvements to drainage and roadside safety.
Right-of-way impacts are associated with the proposed improvements include partial takes, slope easements, drainage rights of way, temporary construction easements and rights.
Construction is expected to start spring 2028, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $30 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
