0015-0386 Bridgeport

Welcome to the webpage for Project 0015-0386, Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 00111A (PT Barnum Bridge), in the City of Bridgeport.

The purpose of this project is to address observed deficiencies, maintain bridge 00111A in a state of good repair, meet current load rating standards, and extend the life of the structure while minimizing impacts to traffic on I-95 above and Bridgeport Harbor, Metro North, Route 130, and local roads below.

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.

Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2026 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s).  The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $16.1 Million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 90% federal funds and 10% state funds.
