Public Outreach

The CTDOT will be working with a Statewide Active Transportation Committee representing other state departments as well as Councils of Government throughout the planning process. CTDOT is working to provide residents from every background with multiple opportunities for equitable and meaningful engagement. The ATP will include the insights provided by the first-hand experiences of the people who walk, bike, or roll on Connecticut’s state roadways – that’s you!

Focused Outreach

To take a deep dive into active transportation issues, the CTDOT will be meeting with various small groups representing different interests and demographics.

Phase 1 – Existing Conditions and Needs

Open Houses

The project team conducted six in-person open houses throughout the state in January to understand the key issues and concerns regarding active transportation and potential strategies to improve conditions for walking, biking, and rolling along state roadways. We appreciate everyone’s participation!

Online Meeting

If you were unable to attend one of the open houses, please use the link below to access a pre-recorded meeting. Please watch to learn more about the project and provide us with your comments.
