Public Outreach

The CTDOT will be working with a Statewide Active Transportation Committee representing other state departments as well as Councils of Government throughout the planning process. CTDOT is working to provide residents from every background with multiple opportunities for equitable and meaningful engagement. The ATP will include the insights provided by the first-hand experiences of the people who walk, bike, or roll on Connecticut’s state roadways – that’s you!

Outreach Schedule

How to Engage

Open Houses

The CTDOT will hold a series of Open Houses and other outreach activities at three phases of the planning process. Open Houses will be held in person at six locations across the state. There will also be online information for those who can't attend.

Pop Up Events

CTDOT will attend various existing events to briefly meet with people to discuss the ATP and their personal experiences and needs while walking, biking or rolling.
