Conn-Etiquette: A Better Ride for All

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is excited to launch Conn-Etiquette: Your Guide to a Better Ride, a statewide campaign aimed at promoting kindness, respect, and courtesy on public transit. This initiative enhances the travel experience for customers and operators alike by encouraging positive behavior.

Conn-Etiquette supports CTDOT’s mission to provide safe, efficient, and welcoming transit services across Connecticut. The campaign offers friendly, easy-to-follow guidance for making transit more pleasant for everyone, building off of the Transit Customer Code of Conduct established in 2024 for all bus services in the state.

What Conn-Etiquette Promotes

Conn-Etiquette shares helpful transit etiquette tips, like greeting operators, offering seats to others, and keeping aisles clear. We’re encouraging simple acts that create a more respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Why It Matters

This campaign isn’t only about rules, it’s about creating a welcoming experience through kindness and courtesy. Conn-Etiquette helps make transit a shared space everyone can feel good about.

Where You'll See It

Conn-Etiquette messaging will be featured on buses, online, and across social media platforms—making it easy to spot and even easier to support.
