The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a guiderail upgrade will be performed on I-395 southbound in Thompson from the MA State Line to the Putnam Town Line. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, January 5, 2026, and be completed on Friday, April 3, 2025. Project No. DOT01703718CN consists of removing the existing 3-cable guiderail and replacing it with R-B Mash.
This project is being performed by Eagle Fence and Guiderail.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
There will be a left lane closure on I-395 southbound in Thompson from the MA State Line to the Putnam Town Line from Monday, January 5 to Friday, April 3, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday). Traffic control signing patterns, crash attenuator vehicles and a State Trooper will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
