The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-95 northbound (Exit 54 on-ramp, Exit 55 off and on-ramp, Exit 56 off and on-ramp) in Branford. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, October 6 and be completed on Friday, October 18, 2024. The project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.00-1.35-mile segment of I-95 in Branford from Exit 54 on-ramp to Exit 56 on-ramp. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Tilcon on Sunday, October 6 to Thursday, October 10, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon is anticipated to begin on Sunday, October 13 to Friday, October 18, 2024.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect ramp closures of I-95 from Exit 54 on-ramp, Exit 55 off-ramp and Exit 55 on-ramp and Exit 56 on-ramp in Branford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
