The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) today marked the opening of the new CTtransit New Haven customer service center at 72 Church Street, giving riders easier access to in-person support and faster service downtown.
The new, centrally located facility replaces CTtransit’s long-standing sales outlet on the New Haven Green and provides a modern space designed to better serve customers and support staff. By consolidating customer service functions under one roof, the center improves coordination between call handling and in-person assistance, helping customers resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.
This customer service hub handles approximately 30,000 customer service calls each month across the CTtransit system.
“This new service center makes it easier for customers to get the help they need, whether they are calling in, buying bus passes, or walking in with a question,” said CTDOT Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto. “The updated layout and downtown location allow us to reduce wait times, improve service consistency, and better support the daily travel needs of our riders.”
The New Haven customer service center supports customers across the CTtransit system, including Hartford, New Haven, and Stamford, handling fare sales, in-person assistance, call center operations, and lost-and-found services.
The center is located at 72 Church Street in downtown New Haven and is open for inbound customer service calls Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The walk-in sales outlet is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
