Public Information Meeting Route 7 and 15 Interchange Improvements in Norwalk

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct an in-person Public Information Meeting concerning the Route 7 and 15 improvements at Interchange 39, in the City of Norwalk, City Hall, 125 East Ave., Norwalk, CT on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.

An open house will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. where the project team be available for individual discussions. A brief informational presentation will then start at 7:00 p.m., with a Q&A session following immediately after. The open house will then continue from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

“This project will link Route 7 and 15 to create a more integrated space for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists on the Main Avenue corridor, while also reducing traffic congestion and improving safety for all roadway users,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Jeffrey Pfaffinger. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”

The right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed improvements, include partial takings, grading easements, and rights to construct driveways.

Construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2027, based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $162 million This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.

Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
