The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct an in-person public information meeting concerning the Phase 4 construction of the Beeline Trail on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Plainville Public Library in the Chase Auditorium at 56 East Main Street in Plainville at 6:30 p.m. The meeting facility is ADA accessible.
The public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation. For more information, please visit portal.ct.gov/DOTPlainville0109-0177.
“This project will construct a segment of a road-separated multi-use trail, along with streetscape and complete street improvements along East Main Street, Pine Street, and Woodford/White Oak Avenue, providing a connection between the future Phase 3 of the Beeline Trail and downtown Plainville,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Devin Racicot. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed improvements includes partial acquisitions and easements necessary to construct the trail.
Construction is anticipated to begin spring 2027 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $9 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 100% state funds.
