The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a virtual public information meeting concerning the State Project 0004-0136 replacement of bridge No. 02112 on Route 10 over unnamed brook in Avon on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 7:00p.m.
The public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded. “The purpose of the project is to address the structural deficiencies of the bridge to accommodate safe travel for all bridge users and proper conveyance of the brook water below,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation, Francisco Fadul. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts are expected consisting of partial takes, slope easements, drainage rights of way, temporary construction easements and rights.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2027. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $3.2 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.

This meeting will also be livestreamed on the CTDOT YouTube channel; no registration is required. Non-English language closed captioning will be available on Zoom and YouTube. The recording will also be posted immediately following the meeting in the list of CTDOT virtual public meetings at portal.ct.gov/ctdotVPIMarchive.
