The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a hybrid public information meeting concerning the replacement of multiple bridges carrying Route 15 and safety improvements to Interchange 85 in Wethersfield on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Town Council Chambers at Wethersfield Town Hall at 505 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. The meeting will also take place on Zoom.
This hybrid public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded. “This project focuses on replacing three bridges along Route 15 in Wethersfield, in addition to upgrading the nearby exit Interchange 85 ramps to improve safety for roadway users,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Richard Prescott. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts are expected to be minor.
Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2027. The estimated cost for this project is projected to be about $120 million, including both federal and state funds.
