The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a tree and vegetation removal project that will be performed on Route 434 (Hopyard Road), both northbound and southbound, in East Haddam. The project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday evening, July 5, 2023, through Friday morning, July 28, 2023.

Motorists can expect alternating lane traffic on Route 434, northbound and southbound, from Route 82 to Route 434 (Mount Parnassus Road) in East Haddam. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday evening – Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
