Pavement Joint and Crack Sealing on State Routes within Central Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a joint and crack sealing project will be performed on State Routes within Central Connecticut.

 

The project consists of the application of joint and crack sealant within District 1. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, May 30, 2023 to Thursday, June 29, 2023 by CT Sealcoating Inc. No work will be performed the day before or day after all State recognized holidays.

 

The following routes are included in this project.

 

  • Route 220 Enfield: From Route 5 to Route 192
  • Route 87 Columbia: From Route 66 to Route 6
  • Route 218 Bloomfield / Windsor: From Route 187 to Route 159
  • Route 5/15 Berlin / Newington: From Middle Road to Route 173
  • Route 6 Farmington: From Route 177 to Scott Swamp Road

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Traffic control personnel, sign patterns, cones, and truck mounted attenuators will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
