Emergency Asphaltic Plug Joint Plate Removal on Route 15 Northbound in Wallingford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 15 Northbound in Wallingford.

The project consists of Asphaltic Joint Plate Removal to the Route 15 Northbound Bridge #’s 00791 over Quinnipiac St., 00793A over Quinnipiac River, 00795 over Amtrak Railroad, & 00434 over Route 5, in Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur the morning of Wednesday April 12, 2023, to the afternoon of Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by State Forces.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 Northbound from exit 63 off ramp to exit 67 off ramp in Wallingford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  (Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
