The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a transmission line insulator bell replacement operation will require the closure of one right lane northbound and one right lane southbound on Interstate 95 at Exit 8 in Stamford.
The night work is scheduled to occur the night of Saturday December 10, 2022, through the morning of Monday December 12, 2022.
The Transmission Line Insulator Bell Replacement Operation will be performed by Eversource Energy.

Motorists can expect right lane closures to occur on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Stamford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-95 Southbound and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on I-95 Northbound (Saturday night through Monday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
