The project involves the installation and replacement of 360-degree video cameras and radar detection at traffic signals on various State highways at State-owned traffic signals in various towns in District 2. The work involves the installation of loop detectors, replacement of the existing pedestrian indications with pedestrian countdown indications revision of timings and phase modes.
DOT Project No. 0172-0484 was awarded to Electrical Contractors of Hartford, Connecticut at a cost of $2,744,874.00 on November 19, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2022. This project is administered by District 2 Construction in Norwich.

Traffic may experience delays Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
and 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. Also, delays may be experienced on Saturdays and Sundays between 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 A.M.
