The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the detour of Sigourney Street Southbound Traffic between the I-84 Eastbound On Ramp and the Sigourney Street/Park Terrace Roundabout beginning May 2, 2022.
beams, localized repairs and spot painting of superstructure steel, removal of deteriorated concrete, replacement of the existing concrete deck, replacement of steel bearings, and replacement of the asphalt wearing surface over the bridge deck.
DOT Project No. 0063-0719 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $11,235,266.35 on June 1, 2021, and is scheduled to be completed on April 16, 2023. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.

Sigourney Street, Capitol Avenue, Russ Street, Park Terrace, Parking Garage Access Road and CTFastrak:
The Contractor will be allowed to interfere with traffic Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 6 am., and Saturday and Sunday between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m.
I-84 Ramps:
The Contractor will be allowed to interfere with traffic Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
DETOUR INFO:
The section on Sigourney Street between the Sigourney Street/Park Terrace Roundabout and the I-84 EB On Ramp will be detoured for SB traffic via Hawthorne Street WB, left on Laurel Street SB, left on Capitol Avenue EB and right on Park Terrace. I-84 WB Off Ramp traffic entering onto Sigourney Street SB will be detoured via Sigourney Street NB and left onto Hawthorne Street WB to pick up the same detour as noted above. The I-84 EB On Ramp will remain open for all traffic.
