The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that joint replacement will be performed on I-84 eastbound between Exits 56 and 57. This operation is scheduled to begin Sunday, June 26, 2022 to Friday, July 15, 2022.
The project consists of removal of wearing surface, full depth deck repairs, membrane and paving associated repair areas on Bridge No. 05844A carrying I-84 Eastbound over Route 15.
DOT Project No. 0042-0325 was awarded to New England Infrastructure, Inc. at a cost of $3,265,959.00 on April 30, 2021 and was substantially completed on November 22, 2021. Additional work and punch list items are being completed now. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-84 eastbound from Exits 56 to 57. The work schedule for this project is 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
