2/15/2022

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that safety and operational improvement work will begin on Route 15 in Orange on Monday, February 21, 2022. Weekday lane closures will be in effect.

This project improves safety and traffic operations on the Route 15 southbound Exit 57 on-ramp from Route 34 eastbound, as well as the Interchange 57 inner loop off-ramps in Orange. The construction phase of this project will begin on or about February 21, 2022. The project is expected to be completed in November 2022.

CTDOT Project No. 0106-0130 was awarded to Guerrera Construction, Inc. of Oxford, CT on December 15, 2021, for $3,491,304.00. This project is administered by District 3 Construction, New Haven.

LANE CLOSURE and DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 southbound and northbound weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized when needed to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists should always obey traffic signs and use extreme caution in work zones: slow down, keep a safe distance, and stay alert.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and should seek alternate routes.
