The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing emergency tree work will take place on Route 188 in Seymour from Buckingham Road to Punkup Road.
The project consists of the removal of hazardous trees on Route 188. This emergency tree work will begin and end on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect a road closure on Route 188 from Buckingham Road to Punkup Road. The detour will be from Route 34 onto Buckingham Road, onto 334 (Grey Hill Road), to Route 188, straight through rotary to Silano Drive, to Punkup Road, then back onto Route 34.
The work schedule for this project is 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
