The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a test of the emergency lighting generator system affecting the Interstate 84 East and West sections of the tunnel in Hartford will be conducted on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. The test should last approximately 15 minutes.
The emergency test requires that the lighting system is switched to operate powered by the emergency generator which will cause a temporary loss of lighting within the tunnel.
