The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that various intersection and roadway improvements will be performed intermittently at three CTfastrak intersections in New Britain (Stanley Street, East Main Street, and Smalley Street) and at Myra Cohen Way in Newington from Monday, November 28, 2022 to Friday, February 3, 2023.
Work will be performed intermittently on various days during this construction period during the daytime hours of 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Activities will include, but are not limited to, trenching, backfilling, paving, conduit/wire installations, light pole installations, and detection equipment installations. This project (DOT0171-0464CN) is administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Public Transportation and the CTtransit Hartford Division.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide local motorists around the work zone. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
