The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction work on Route 11 in Salem will begin on April 20, 2022.

Project 0120-0095 involves rehabilitation of an existing culvert (Bridge No. 06780) that is structurally deficient under State Route 11 in Salem, Conn. More specifically, the project will include slip-lining the existing 84-inch diameter by 400-foot-long culvert; whereby a new 72-inch diameter metal pipe will be installed through the existing culvert and the remaining annular void filled with grout. This project will also include the construction of a temporary construction access road to facilitate the construction and slip lining of the culvert under Route 11.
