The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 8 Northbound and Southbound in Shelton.
The project consists of Asphaltic Joint Installation to the Route 8 Northbound & Southbound Bridge #00568 over Long Hill Ave., in Shelton. This project is scheduled to occur the morning of Monday November 28, 2022, to the evening of Friday, December 2, 2022.
The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 Northbound & Southbound in Shelton between Exit 13 (Constitution Boulevard) and Exit 14 (Kneen Street) in Shelton. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00am to 4:00pm. (Monday morning through Friday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
