Start of Asphalt Rubberized Chip Seal Application in Salem, Durham, Middlefield, Plainfield, and Killingly

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that asphalt rubberized chip seal on sections of Routes 82, 147 and 664 is to begin May 23, 2022.

The project consists of bituminous concrete patching, joint and crack sealing, asphalt rubberized chip seal application, emulsified asphalt fog seal application for shoulders, centerline rumble strip installation, and installation of pavement markings on Routes 82, 147 and 664.

DOT Project No. 0172-0511 was awarded to All States Construction, Inc. at a cost of $1,970,337.00 and is scheduled to be completed August 23, 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

There will be intermittent lane closures on Routes 82, 147 and 664 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m.
