The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing lane configuration modifications on I-395 in Plainfield to facilitate construction activities associated with the replacement of Bridge 00302 carrying I-395 over Route 14 and the Moosup River in Plainfield.
Beginning June 8, 2021, I-395 southbound will be reduced to a single 12-foot lane with two 1.5-foot shoulders for approximately 1-2 weeks. Immediately following this configuration, I-395 southbound will remain a single 12-foot lane with two 2-foot shoulders and I-395 northbound will be reduced to a single 11-foot lane with two 1-foot shoulders. This single lane configuration will remain in place until November 2021.
