The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Joint and Crack Sealing will be performed on Route 79 in Madison.
The project consists of the filling of Joints and Cracks on Route 79 in Madison. This work will be performed beginning on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 through Friday, June 4, 2021.
No work will occur during the Memorial Day weekend from Friday morning May 28, 2021, through Monday, May 31, 2021. Work will resume on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 79 in Madison from US 1 (Boston Post Road) to Whitman Road. The day work schedule for Joint and Crack Sealing is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
