The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed along a 1.52-mile section of Route 571 from Route 71A (High Road) to Route 9 southbound (Polish Legion of American Veterans Memorial Highway) – Wednesday, June 17 through Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 571 from Route 71A (High Road) to Route 9 southbound. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Friday).
Detour Information:
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
- Motorists seeking to access Route 571 westbound from Route 9 northbound will be guided along Route 9 north to Exit 25, taking a left onto Ellis Street, a left onto South Main Street, continuing on New Britain Avenue, back to Route 571 west. The reverse will be the case for motorist looking to access Route 9 southbound from Route 571 east.
- Motorists seeking to access New Britain Avenue will be guided along Route 71, taking a left onto High Road, a left onto Farmington Avenue, and a left onto New Britain Avenue.
