The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work activities to upgrade the existing roundabout at Route 162 and Route 705, will begin on or about September 8, 2020, in West Haven.
The project entails widening of the existing truck apron, installation of landscaping in the center island, and replacing damaged concrete curbing along the outer perimeter with granite. The improvements will allow the existing roundabout to better accommodate the larger trucks sometimes accessing this location.
Project 0156-0182, was awarded to Laydon Industries, LLC. Inc. of New Haven on May 28, 2020, at a cost of $367,214.00 and is scheduled for completion on October 19, 2020.
The contractor will be working:
- Monday through Friday between 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 pm to 10:00 am
