The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 north and south between Branford and Madison, June 15-17, 2020.
The project consists of structural steel repairs on I-95 North and South bound. Bridge #s: 00187 (Hosley Ave.); 00199 (Leetes Island Rd.); 00208 (Tanner Marsh Rd.); 00210 (I-95); 00212 (Mungertown Rd.); 00217 (New Rd.) This project is scheduled to begin on the morning of June 15, 2020, ending the evening of July 17, 2020.
The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 53 (Short Beach) and Exit 62 (Hammonasset State Park). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00am to 4:00pm. (Monday mornings through Friday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
