NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that an Overhead Sign project will be performed on Route 72 (north) from the Route 72/Route 9 intersection to Corbin Avenue (exit 7), in New Britain. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Sunday, June 22, 2008.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Sunday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
