NEWINGTON, Conn.-Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Routes 2 and 214, in Ledyard.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Thursday, April 10, 2008 and continue through Friday, May 9, 2008. This project will be performed on Route 2 from Route 164 to Route 214.                             

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Mondays - Saturdays). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
