NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on Route 15 (southbound) between Exits 31 and 33 in Stamford.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, June 4, 2008 and continue through Thursday, June 5, 2008. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.  The regular work schedule for the project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday – Thursday). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
